 Come experience a
4 day/3 night quilting retreat in one of New England's
grand old Inns. The
New London Inn, built in 1792, is in
the center of a small, quaint, New England college town.
Originally constructed for overnight carriage stops
between Boston, Concord and Manchester to the south and White
River Jct, Vt., Burlington, Vt, and Montreal, Canada to the north,
the Inn serves as a center piece to everyday life in
New
London today.
 You will check into
your original Inn room, many of which still
have the feel of the Inn as it was over 200 years ago. All guest rooms have private
modern baths, televisions, phones with data ports, air conditioning, and are beautifully furnished. The Quilting takes place in the Great
Room, located on the first floor of the Inn.
New London offers a wide variety of shopping and cultural events
such as the
New London Barn Players.
Stroll onto the green next door and listen to an evening community
concert, across the street you can get that late night favorite
ice cream, or visit many of the fine little shops offering
everything from the latest designs in clothing to one of the
world's top Fly Fishing supply store plus
New Hampshire arts and crafts and more! If antique hunting is your
forte, the New London area offers some of the best
antique shops
in New England. For the husbands,
6 golf courses, over twenty
trout lakes and ponds, miles and miles of prime trout streams,
hiking
Mt Kearsarge, visiting nearby
State Parks or a short trip
to Dartmouth College,
King Arthur Flour,
Quechee Gorge, and Hot
Air Ballooning over the Upper Connecticut River Valley offer more
than enough to occupy him while you are enjoying your time
quilting at your retreat.
New London, in the heart of the
Dartmouth/Lake Sunapee region has everything you could ask for
and more! Space is limited to 30 people.
